It’s simple. We are a church that exists to see God’s Kingdom advanced on the earth. To expand God’s Kingdom takes the people of God rising up to do His work. At Chapehill, we are a generous church that is careful to keep eternity close in view. With that mindset intact, we are laser focused on fulfilling our mission while also being able to meet the needs for Kingdom advancement in three broad areas: Global Missions, Local Ministry Expansion, and Next Generation Leaders. Our heart is to see a broken world reconciled back to God while investing locally to be the light of Jesus in our communities, while training up leaders that will impact the world for God’s Kingdom tomorrow. We believe that we can be increasingly generous with your support. The Kingdom of God increases with every generous act. When you give to Kingdom Builders, God’s marvelous kingdom expands!
I love watching people grow their involvement in God’s Kingdom. I also love what the Holy Spirit is doing through the ministries and generosity of our church family.
The Bible says, “To whom much is given, much is required” (Luke 12:48). If you’re like me, you realize you’ve been blessed and given a whole lot in this life. In living out that command from Jesus, we have a choice to either spend our lives on ourselves or spend our lives for Jesus and others. I believe that a new Kingdom Builders focus will enable our church to have greater impact and gain greater clarity in over and above giving. In addition to advancing gospel work around the world, we benefit by spending our lives for something so much greater than ourselves!
2019 was another year of growth and advancement at Chapelhill through missions giving and the Easter and Christmas Offerings. With a desire to see hearts impacted and changed, we also expanded opportunities for next generation leaders. After hearing many testimonies from those on this trip – Mission Accomplished!
In 2020, I’m asking the Chapelhill family at each of our locations to direct all sacrificial and generous giving to Kingdom Builders, which has three significant objectives:
- Global Missions – all missionary and missions project giving.
- Local Ministry Expansion – all giving related to local ministries and multi-site growth.
- Next Generation Leaders – all giving related to impacting young lives for the future.
It is obvious to me that the people Chapelhill Church have a heart for people, and it is about people – even people we’ll never meet and who will never directly benefit us. That’s having a heart for God and the world He loves. This year, I want you to see people. I want you to hear stories. I want you to feel the thank you from everyone we’ll help as Kingdom Builders. I believe through the Kingdom Builders focus, our greatest impact is yet to come, the greatest life change is yet to come, the greatest miracles are yet to happen, and many more people will find hope in Jesus’ name!
It’s a new season. The time is ripe. We are fit for the task to advance the Kingdom of God.
I’m asking our church family to prayerfully consider participating as a Kingdom Builder in 2020 and to prayerfully consider sacrificial over and above giving. We’ve established a big goal, a faith goal, a goal that requires the kind of faith that pleases our Lord. And, when we reach this goal, we will have gone way beyond what Chapelhill Church has ever done before to advance Kingdom ministry.
I’m praying you will join me as a Kingdom Builder. Thank you for believing with me that God has so much more for us to do…TOGETHER!
Jesus commands us to go into all the world and preach the Gospel making disciples of all nations. As of January 2019, 151 missionaries and projects are financially supported by Chapelhill Church. Missionary support is the foundation of Global Missions. Kingdom Builders also gives us the opportunity to support key global projects such as providing humanitarian aid, church planting, vehicles, building Bible Schools, Bible translation, and pastoral development. Everyone, in every nation, deserves a chance to hear the Gospel!
Local Ministry Expansion
“The local church is the light of the world,” Jesus tells us in the Gospel of Matthew. Kingdom Builders is committed to funding the growth of the church locally through expanding our own campuses, planting life-giving, Spirit-filled churches in our communities, and serving the hurting in our own backyards through local ministries! We do not do this for comfort, extravagant buildings, or for personal accolades, but to help more lost people to personally know and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Next Generation Leaders
We are committed to raising up Next Generation Christian leaders. They are the church today AND the church of the future. Paul wrote in the New Testament to Timothy, a young leader, encouraging him to set the example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity. Kingdom Builders raises up our future leaders to foster a love for the Bible, God, and the lost and inspires them to change the world. We invest in the Next Generation through Camp Scholarships, S.E.U. At Chapelhill Church, NextGen GO Trips, and creating opportunities for our youth and young adults to have life changing experiences with God. We want the Next Generation to be inspired to serve, give and love more.
