Pastors Dave and Cindy Divine | Founding and Senior Pastors
Pastor Dave and Cindy Divine are the founding and Senior Pastors of Chapelhill Church, a multi-cultural, multi-generational church launched in 2001 with four locations in Atlanta, Bremen, Douglasville, Dunwoody, and also Chapelhill Online.
Pastor Dave was raised in a Christ-centered home by parents who knew the value of being part of a church community. He took a step of faith by asking Jesus to be the Lord and Savior of his life following high school. After sensing the calling of God in his life, Pastor Dave was ordained in 1984 through the Assemblies of God, where he went on to serve churches in Kansas, Indiana, and Alabama. After a chance meeting with some friends from Douglasville, GA, and after much prayer, Pastor Dave and Cindy moved their family—including their two sons, Brandon and Brett, and daughter Brianna—to their new home.
Over the next two decades, God took a dream and turned it into one of Georgia’s most prominent and fastest-growing Assemblies of God churches. During those two decades, we have added three additional locations throughout the greater Atlanta Metro area. We have also developed Chapelhill Online to become a church home for those who choose to attend through distance discipleship and worship.
After four decades in ministry, Pastor Dave’s greatest desire is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We accomplish this mission through a diverse and ever expanding ministry philosophy. We offer ministry opportunities for just about every person in every walk of life. We are also committed to providing a Christian education to our community through Chapelhill Christian School, a fully accredited school for K-5th grade, and our Southeastern University Regional campus offering college and university level education.
We are also committed to equipping and resourcing missions partners through Kingdom Builders, our outreach and missions ministry that wants to expand God’s Kingdom through Global Missions, Local Ministry Expansion, and Next Generation Leaders.
When we asked Pastor Dave to tell us about Chapelhill’s vision, he said, “I want to see people truly live for Jesus, and for people to lead other people to Jesus.” This sentiment is what the Gospel of Jesus is all about: disciple-making.
Pastor Dave and Cindy have 14 grandchildren who are their pride and joy. When Pastor Dave isn’t preaching in the pulpit, leading our executive and senior leaders, or involved with Kingdom Builders missionaries or projects, you might find him traveling, golfing, or watching his World Series Champions, Atlanta Braves.
