Pastor Daniel Gray | Chapelhill Douglasville
After being introduced to drugs and alcohol at a young age, Daniel Gray spent many years in addiction, violence, and crime. Even after a near-death car crash, he fell back into his old habits. It would take Daniel witnessing the tragic death of a best friend that would finally lead him to discover peace and forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
Pastor Daniel has spent the last two decades sharing his life experiences with others to help them find that same peace and forgiveness. In 2012 he joined Chapelhill to share his passion for people with our students and young adults. Daniel has traveled as an evangelist worldwide and on television, sharing the gospel to thousands—but always calling Chapelhill his church home. During this fruitful season of life, he graduated from Logos Christian College, met and married his best friend, Heather, founded Daniel Gray Ministries, pastored the Atlanta Falcons for 13 seasons as the team chaplain, and fathered two beautiful children, Zion and Gracelyn.
Pastor Daniel accepted the role to become the Douglasville Location Pastor in the winter of 2021. His presence and passion are infectious. He’s an eternal optimist and always sees the potential in everyone (with God’s help). When we asked Pastor Daniel to tell us what he loves about the local church, he responded by saying, “I love God. I love helping people encounter God. I love building God’s church and developing and encouraging leaders.”
When Pastor Daniel isn’t with Heather and the Kids or at church, you might find him on the golf course or playing video games with life-long friends. Next time you’re at Chapelhill Douglasville, take a few moments to get to know Daniel and Heather!
